Welcome to Beta Season.

If you’re seeing this page, it’s because you’ve been personally invited—because your experience matters.

Before your mission… what do you wish someone had told you?

We’re gathering short, personal stories to help future missionaries prepare—real experiences, honest lessons, and moments that mattered. Not theory. Not perfection. Just truth, shared from someone who’s been there.

You can write about things like:
• Prayer
• Scripture study
• Miracles
• Companionships
• Obedience
• Faith & doubt
• Teaching
• Coming home
• Or anything else that shaped your experience

Start with a simple phrase:
“What I wish I’d known about…”

Then say one thing well.

Your story might be exactly what someone else needs—right when they need it.

A Few Guidelines

Length:
Up to 500 words.

Focus:
Tell one story that illustrates a lesson. It’s not a recap of your entire mission, it’s a moment that taught you something powerful.

The strongest submissions usually include:
• A specific moment
• What you learned
• Why it matters now

Tone:
Be honest. Be specific. Be real.
This doesn’t need to sound polished—it needs to sound like you.

Before You Submit

Please take a moment to read through your story and make sure it reflects your experience clearly and respectfully.

By submitting, you agree your story may be lightly edited for clarity and included in a published collection. If selected, a publishing release will be provided.

Thank You!

Thank you for being willing to share something real.

Stories like yours have a way of reaching people at exactly the right time—and helping them feel a little more prepared, a little more understood, and a little less alone.
